Minnesota Credit Union Buys Naming Rights to Well-Known Fillmore Minneapolis

If you’re in Minnesota anytime soon you’ll be opening your ears and eyes to live entertainment at the newly renamed Fillmore Minneapolis. The venue’s catchy new name is The Fillmore presented by Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union. That’s the $1.7 billion credit union that has its name on the storied venue these days.

As the CEO of Affinity Plus said of its big-dollar marketing spend: “It’s not just about our name on the building. It’s about brand association. We want audiences to associate us with live music.”

Nothing says “people, not profits” like a three-night concert stand by folk singer Brandi Carlile.

Affinity Plus also notes it will put its ATMs in the venue as well.
