Another Week, Another Credit Union Stadium Naming Rights Deal

A $1.6 billion credit union in Texas reached a deal in August 2021 to brand the Allen, Tx. Event Center as the Credit Union of Texas Arena. The credit union is spending $2.2 million for the privilege. Upcoming events include “Peppa Pig Live” and the Collin County Home & Garden Show. Yet another example of credit union marketing with questionable benefits for its members.

Star Local Media reports that in exchange for the sponsorship that: “The Allen-headquartered credit union will have rights over indoor and outdoor building signage, “personal banking sponsor exclusivity,” marquee signage including that of the Village At Allen video billboard on US-75 and a single reserved box suite for all ticketed events hosted at the event center.”
